The RT6 is a single axis rotating platform capable of traversing loads up to 20 kilograms, such as offset dish and large patch antennas. The output disc can be continuously rotated through 360 degrees through the internal microwave R.F. slip-ring assembly. The functions of the RT6 are controlled remotely through a bi-directional RS485 interface.
The RT6 is weather resistant and can be operated externally provided allowance is made for wind shear on large antenna assemblies. Operation with dished offset antennas is more usually performed within a protective Radome.
Antenna payloads are attached to the output disc using four M6 screws with a further four M6 screws being used to secure the base of the rotator to the main supporting platform, tower, etc.
Capable of being used in conjunction with vehicle mounted GPS tracking units, this base station antenna rotator can also be used in conjunction with the matching control system to automatically track moving, transmitting, vehicles for long range operation.
